This policy explains what personal data Budu collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short and plain.
Who is responsible
Budu is responsible for your data. Our company details will be published on this page.
What we collect
- Account data: your name, email and role (student, teacher, school manager, parent). Passwords are stored only as secure hashes.
- Learning data: your courses, lessons you open, homework, quiz answers, grades and feedback.
- Messages between parents and teachers, and announcements.
- A profile photo, if you add one.
- Orders for paid courses (course, amount, status). We never see or store card details — you pay by bank transfer.
- Messages you send us through the contact form, including ideas and bug reports.
Why we use it
- To run your account and let you learn or teach.
- To show schools, teachers and parents the progress they are entitled to see.
- To send emails you need: confirmations, invitations, notifications.
- To keep Budu secure and fix problems, and to study your ideas and bug reports.
What we never do
- We don’t show ads and don’t sell or rent your data.
- We don’t use advertising cookies, and analytics cookies only with your permission.
Cookies
- Necessary cookies: your sign-in session, and your choice of language, theme, price currency and cookie settings.
- Analytics, only if you accept them in the cookie banner: Yandex Metrica on our public pages (never inside your account) records visits, clicks and how pages are used, including session recordings, so we can improve Budu. Password fields are never recorded.
- You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every public page; refusing removes the analytics cookies.
Who can see your data
- Your school or teacher sees your learning in their courses; your parents see your progress after you both agree.
- Service providers that help us run Budu (hosting, email) — only to provide the service.
- Yandex (Yandex Metrica), if you accept analytics cookies: data about your visits to our public pages.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
Where and how long
- Your data is stored on our own servers. We keep it while your account exists and delete it when you ask us to, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
Children
- Students under 14 use Budu through their school or with a parent’s consent. Parents can follow their child’s progress and ask us to delete the account.
Your rights
- You can see, correct, download or delete your data, and withdraw consent. Write to us through the contact page — we answer within 30 days.
Changes
- If we change this policy, we update the date above and tell you about important changes in Budu.
